The District 1 Community Policing/Weed and Seed Team have a mission to reduce crime, create safer neighborhoods, and improve the quality of life for residents. We achieve this by establishing collaborative partnerships with community stakeholders as well as other law enforcement and government agencies.


The District 1 Community Policing/Weed and Seed Team continue to be actively engaged in the community through various projects and community programs.

Approximately 50 participants met at the Hawaii Convention Center and participated in the 2015 Project Clean and traffic safety awareness sign waving campaign held in District 1. More than 80 bags of trash were collected, and drivers and pedestrians were reminded to travel with Aloha.

Over 100 volunteers gathered at the Hawaii convention center near the Alawai Promenade to help clean up and signwave early last saturday morning. Approximately 280 bags of trash were collected during this event. Mahalo to everyone who attended and helped make this event a success.
