Update 3/19/22: CrimeStoppers and the Honolulu Police Department would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating Nainoa Damon who was wanted for second-degree murder. Damon turned himself in at the Wahiawa Police Station on Sunday, March 19, 2022 at approximately 2:10 p.m.
Original Post 3/18/22: CrimeStoppers and the Honolulu Police Department are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Nainoa Damon who is wanted for second-degree murder.
On Friday, March 18, 2022, at approximately 2 a.m., a 19-year-old male, who has been identified as Nainoa Damon, drove up to a group of males at one of the scenic lookouts at Round Top Drive. Damon approached Victim #1, pointed a gun to his head, and demanded his property. Victim #2, an 18-year-old male, drew his firearm and pointed it at Damon, at which time Damon shot victim #2 in the abdomen area. Both Damon and his front seat passenger, Suspect #2, fled in a white 1998 Toyota Camry towards Nehoa Street. Victim #2 was taken to a hospital in a private vehicle, where he was pronounced dead.
Suspect #2 is described as a male, approximately 5’ 6”, wearing a black ski mask and all black clothing. Damon is considered armed and dangerous.
