The Central Receiving Division operates the HPD’s main cellblock and oversees security for the Alapai headquarters.
Arrested individuals are transported to one of several HPD locations to be booked and processed. Because the HPD cellblock is a short-term holding facility, individuals who are unable to post bail are transported to court on the next working day.

Bail may be posted in cash or bond. Cash bail must be in exact change. (For cash bail exceeding $10,000, IRS Form 8300 must be completed.)
Photography/video is strictly prohibited.
Juvenile Release
Juveniles may only be released to a parent or legal guardian with proper identification. They may not be released to older siblings or adult relatives without legal authorization.
Alapai Headquarters
– The majority of arrestees are transported the main station at 801 S. Beretania St. To bail someone out, go to the Adult Release or Juvenile Release doors at the back of the station. Press the intercom button and let the officer know who you are bailing out.
– The bailout process takes approximately 30 minutes.
– Metered public parking is located in the back of the station at the bottom of the ramp. Do not park on the street level. See below.
