Collisions Involving Bodily Injury Person of Interest

On Friday, December 6, 2024, at approximately 1:00 p.m., a Unit #2 pedestrian and his son were standing in the parking lot of the Kahala Market. Unit #1 vehicle, an unknown white Tesla, was reversing from a stall and struck the Unit #2 pedestrian. Unit #2 pedestrian fell to the ground and felt pain to his left wrist and right shoulder.

The female driver of the Tesla rolled down her window and asked if she should call 911. Unit #2 pedestrian’s son answered “no” and stated they just wanted to get to safety on the curb. Unit #1 then proceeded to leave the scene without providing information or rendering aid. Unit #2 pedestrian sought medical treatment at a later date.

On Saturday, December 14, 2024, the case was reported to police and a case was generated. Any information as to the identification of the white Tesla or the driver are asked to call the Traffic Division, Vehicular Homicide Section.
