In the early morning hours of December 28, 2011, 43-year-old Acme John was found unresponsive in the roadway of Kahai Street, west of Kalihi Street. Investigation revealed that he had been stabbed several times and died at the scene. John lived on Kahai Street and would frequently sit on the sidewalk area with his laptop, which he used to communicate with his family in the Marshall Islands. His laptop, identical to the one depicted in the above photo, could not be located, although a damaged USB adapter was found at the scene.
