This Aloha Friday morning, Chief Joe Logan and HPD leadership visited the stunning `Umeke Lāʻau exhibit at the Honolulu Hale. This remarkable 22-foot-wide, 8-foot-tall wooden ʻumeke (calabash) was crafted by Native Hawaiian artist Meleanna Aluli Meyer. Not only is it visually striking, but it also offers visitors the opportunity to step inside the ʻumeke for a truly unique experience. The ʻumeke provided a special space for Chief Logan and senior staff members to meet and discuss community and police issues.
