UPDATE 01-19-22: CrimeStoppers and the Honolulu Police Department would like to thank the public for their assistance in identifying a suspect in connection to the murder of Jonah Ongory which happened in the Waianae area.
On Monday, May 24, 2021, at approximately 1:30 a.m., HPD officers responded to the area of Paakea Road and Hakimo Road in Waianae on reports of multiple gunshots in the area. When officers arrived, they discovered a male, later identified as Jonah Ongory, lifeless and lying on the roadway. The victim had sustained fatal gunshot wounds.
On January 18, 2022 at approximately 11:35 a.m., HPD Officers placed George Ferreira the fourth, under arrest for Murder in the Second Degree. The investigation is ongoing.
