The Honolulu Police Department’s District 2 Community Policing Team recently had the privilege of taking a team of five students from Mililani and Waipahu High School’s Law Enforcement Class to compete in the SkillsUSA competition. This event provides students with the opportunity to showcase their knowledge and skills in various career fields, including criminal justice.
These dedicated students secured the top three positions in their categories, showcasing their dedication, hard work, and invaluable mentorship from the Community Policing Team. This achievement not only highlights the strength of the partnership between the students and local law enforcement but also emphasizes the impact of hands-on mentorship on students’ academic and professional development.
