Sixty-seven officers and three civilians are moving up the ranks. On September 29, 2020, they were honored during a modified ceremony at the Honolulu Police Department’s Alapai headquarters.
Promoted to the rank of assistant chief is Rade Vanic. The 20-year veteran will head the Support Services Bureau. Prior to his promotion, he was the commander of the Information Technology Division and District 3 (Pearl City/Waipahu). His earlier assignments include the Office of the Chief, Criminal Investigation Division, and Community Affairs Division.
Promoted to the rank of major are Raynor Ikehara, Mike Lambert, and Benjamin Moszkowicz. Ikehara has 32 years of service and will lead the Professional Standards Office. Prior to his promotion, he was the executive officer of the Human Resources Division. Lambert has 17 years of service and will command District 7 (East Honolulu). Prior to his promotion, he was the coordinator of the Community Outreach Unit. Moszkowicz has 20 years of service and will
command the Information Technology Division. Prior to his promotion, he was the executive officer of the Information Technology Division and Traffic Division.
