On July 24, 2021 at about 11:55 P.M., an unidentified driver and their passengers, a 23-year-old Waianae female, and a 17-year-old Kaneohe female, were traveling Honolulu bound on Farrington Highway at a high rate of speed when their vehicle disregarded the double solid yellow lines and traveled into the two Waianae bound lanes of Farrington Highway in an attempt to enter the parking lot of the 76 Gas Station located at 87-890 Farrington Highway.
As the unidentified vehicle traveled across the two Waianae bound lanes of traffic, it was subsequently broadsided by a 21-year-old Waianae male and his three female passengers ages 16, 16 and 17.
The two injured passengers of the 21-year-old Waianae male were taken to an area hospital in serious condition.
The two injured passengers of the unidentified driver were also taken to an area hospital, one in critical condition and one in serious condition. The passenger in critical condition was later upgraded to serious condition.
The unidentified driver fled the scene of the collision on foot and has not been identified at this time.
