A 20-year-old male motorist stopped near the scene to assist when an unidentified motorist, traveling eastbound, struck both the 19-year-old motorcyclist and his motorcycle. The unidentified motorist briefly stopped then continued eastbound without rendering aid or providing information.
During the incident a 20-year-old female motorcycle passenger was struck by debris from the second collision.
