On August 27, 2023, at about 05:10 AM, a critical moped collision occurred in the Honolulu area.
It was reported to the Honolulu Police Department, Traffic Division, Vehicular Homicide Section, that a 20-year-old adult male moped rider was traveling westbound on South King Street when he lost control of his moped and fell onto the roadway.
As a result of the collision, the 20-year-old male moped rider was transported to an area hospital in critical condition..
The moped rider was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.
At this time, speed, drugs, or alcohol do not appear to be contributing factors of this collision.
