On July 7, 2023, at about 7:26 AM, a critical non-traffic motor vehicle collision occurred in the private parking lot of 94-0595 Kupuohi Street.

It was reported to the Honolulu Police Department, Traffic Division Vehicular Homicide Section, that a 41-year-old male motorist was traveling northbound in the parking lot when for unknown reason veered left and collided with a light pole.

As a result of the collision, the 41-year-old male motorist was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

The 41-year-old motorist was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.

At this time, speed does not appear to be a contributing factor to this collision. It is unknown if drugs or alcohol were contributing factors to this collision.

The investigation is ongoing.
