On March 27, 2023, at about 11:52 AM. a serious hit-and-run motor vehicle collision involving a moped occurred in the intersection of S. King Street and Isenberg Street.

It was reported to the Honolulu Police Department, Traffic Division, Vehicular Homicide Section that a 22-year-old female moped operator and a 21-year-old male passenger were traveling eastbound on S. King Street when they were struck by an unknown motorist who has yet to be identified traveling northbound on Isenberg Street.

The unknown motorist fled the scene of the collision and was last seen traveling northbound on Isenberg Street possibly, operating a white van.

As a result of the collision, the 22-year-old female operator was listed in good condition, and the 21-year-old male passenger was taken to an area hospital in serious condition.
