On April 4, 2025, at about 12:30 AM, a serious motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian occurred on Kamehameha Highway in the Pearl City area.
It was reported to the Honolulu Police Department, Traffic Division, Vehicular Homicide Section, that a 51-year-old male pedestrian was walking in the roadway of the westbound lanes of Kamehameha Highway when he was struck by an unidentified motorist who continued traveling westbound on Kamehameha Highway without stopping to render aid or provide information.
As a result of the collision, the 51-year-old male pedestrian was transported by Emergency Medical Services to an area hospital in serious condition.
At this time, it is unknown if speed, alcohol, or drugs are factors in this collision.
