On June 4, 2023, at about 3:10 AM, a fatal single motor vehicle collision occurred on West Loch Drive in the Ewa Area.
It was reported to the Honolulu Police Department, Traffic Division, Vehicular Homicide Section, that a 28-year-old adult female motorist was traveling northbound on West Loch Drive, when for unknown reasons, she lost control and collided with a tree on the left shoulder of the roadway.
As a result of the collision, the 28-year-old adult female motorist succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 28-year-old female motorist was not wearing her seat belt at the time of the collision.
At this time, speed appears to be a factor in this collision. It is unknown if alcohol or drugs area factors.
This is the 27th Traffic Fatality on Oahu this year, compared to 23 during the same time in 2022.
The investigation is ongoing.
