It was reported to the Honolulu Police Department, Traffic Division, Vehicular Homicide Section, that a 20-year-old male motorist was traveling westbound on Iroquois Road towards the intersection of Fort Weaver Road and Iroquois Road when he lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle veered into the eastbound lane of Iroquois Road and collided with a utility pole on a pedestrian island.

The bicyclists were both crossing Fort Weaver Road in a marked crosswalk, heading towards the pedestrian island, when the vehicle struck them.
The 62-year-old female bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 75-year-old male bicyclist was transported to an area hospital in critical condition, where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The 20-year-old male motorist was not injured and remained at the scene.
The adult bicyclists were not wearing helmets at the time of the collision.
Speed may be a contributing factor of this collision. Both drugs and alcohol do not appear to have been contributing factors.
